BASEMENT INSTALLATIONS
If the basement area is used, the Equipment Room shall not be located
below water level unless extensive water control preventative measures
against infiltration are employed. A floor drain, evacuating and/or
sump water pump, etc. shall be the minimum provided within the room if
risk of water ingress exists. A high water level alarm annunciating
system shall be provided in addition to intrusion alarm(s) that
connects to the Facility's Engineering Control Room, Security Police
Telephone Operator or MAS Emergency Room Desk.

TELEPHONE CONSOLE ROOM
(a) TCD-194D will advise the Facility and/or A/E as to the number of
consoles required.
(b) A Restroom and Break Room, separate from the Operations area, shall
be provided within the Operator's Console Room area.
(c) Provide adequate space, lighting, heating and cooling, conduits,
and power that is convenient to the operator(s) for a minimum of Nurse
Call Code One (aka Blue), PA, Emergency Notification and Duress
annunciator panels.
(d) Minimum space requirements for Operators Console Room without
toilet and breakroom are as follows:

(e) Power & Lighting:
(1) Emergency Power - Duplex receptacles and lighting shall be
connected to Facility's Critical Branch of the Emergency Power System.
(2) 120VAC Receptacles - Install a minimum of four (4) 20 amp duplex
receptacles, one conveniently located for each operation position and
open wall space and on each wall.
538 lux (50 footcandles) at the consoles without glare or shadows.
(4) Security- Provide a system that is included in the TELCO Equipment
Room Security System.
(5) Fire Suppression: Refer to Paragraph 8.11.1(d).
