For every additional 929 square meters (10,000 sq. ft.) of
administrative floor space served, there shall be and additional 3000
mm (10 linear ft.) of wall space provided.
(l) Closets require a minimum 100 mm (4 inch) pathway from the Computer
Room to each closet to support a separate fiber optic backbone and STP
cable distribution system for data requirements.
(m) The equipment in closets consumes power and dissipates heat. Air
conditioning and other ventilation systems must be provided at a
minimum, as described herein, to prevent failure of any provided or
planned equipment.
(n) Power & Lighting:
(1) Emergency Power Duplex receptacles and lighting shall be
connected to Facility's Critical Branch of the Emergency Power System.
(2) 120 VAC Receptacles Each closet shall be provided with a separate
120 VAC, 20 Amp circuit with two (2) quadruplex receptacles, mounted in
the center of each side backboard, two (2) quadruplex receptacles,
mounted centered on the front backboard either side of the door and
three (3) quadruplex receptacles, mounted centered on the rear
backboard, each 450 mm (18 inches) above the floor. Receptacles shall
be 20 Amp, 120 VAC.
(3) Overhead Lighting Install at least one (1) ceiling mounted
fluorescent light four lamp (or two - two lamp) fixture with an
"on-off" switch located on the inside wall.
8.16 INTERSTITIAL INTERFACING SPACE, POWER AND LIGHTING WHERE
TELECOMMUNICATIONS BACKBOARDS ARE INSTALLED.
(a) Emergency Power Duplex receptacles and lighting shall be
connected to Facility's Critical Branch of the Emergency Power System.
(b) 120 VAC Receptacles Provide each backboard with a separate 20 Amp
circuit with two (2) 20 Ampere quadraplex receptacles mounted centered
on the backboard, 150 mm (6 inches) from the bottom center.
