All elevator cabs, entrances and control systems shall be ADA compliant with two handrails located
on three walls of the cab, mounted at both 30 and 42 inches AFF.
Elevator Cab/Door/Finishes
Passenger entrances for typical floors shall be four feet wide by seven feet high, center opening, with
a stainless steel finish. All passenger entrances for ground floor shall be the same as typical floors,
but with a special finish compatible with the overall design intent of the ground floor lobby. The
interior of the cab shall be split finished, having a stainless steel below the handrail and laminate,
over half inch fire retardant wood, above. Indirect cove lighting shall illuminate the interior of the
cab. The flooring shall be tile in passenger cabs and 0.1875-inch steel or aluminum checker-plate in
service cabs.
