Ninety decibels is the maximum for electrical/machine rooms.
Ventilation
Base minimum outdoor air on the recommendations contained in the ASHRAE Standard 62-1999
"Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality" with the latest approved addenda.
Reheat System
Reheat is not permitted in the interior zones. However, it may be employed for warm-up cycle,
special purpose areas or humidity control.
Humidification
Winter humidification is not required except in areas where outdoor design temperature is zero
degrees or below. Provide humidification through fresh air handlers in general office areas of the
VARO where design outside air temperature is below zero degrees Fahrenheit. Adverse static
electricity buildup could result in personal computer and printer damage with very low indoor air
humidity.
Return Air System
In general, the use of a ceiling return air plenum system is acceptable. However, all return air in
the mechanical rooms should be ducted.
Interior Rooms
Only all-air systems shall be used for interior spaces. Computer rooms, LAN rooms and conference
rooms may utilize water cooled supplemental equipment.
