(f) There shall be a maximum (MAX) of six (6) telecart outlets
connected to one 75 mm (3 inches) home run conduit.
(g) Conduit runs shall be routed to the nearest wireway, cable tray,
interface cabinet or rack when installed in interstitial spaces.
(h) 100 mm (4 inches) conduits and/or 150 mm x 150 mm (6 inches x 6
inches) cable ducts inside and outside buildings shall be provided with
a pull box (inside) or manhole (outside) after two 90-degree bends or
an accumulation of 120-degrees of total pathway deviations from a
straight line between each point of access.
(i) 100 mm (4 inches) waterproof conduits and/or cable ducts outside of
buildings shall not exceed 122 m (400 ft.) between manholes or pull
boxes (not counting bend or traverse loss).
(j) Pull boxes shall be sized, as required by the NEC and as described
herein. The minimum size shall be 150 mm x 150 mm x 100mm (6 inches x 6
inches x 4 inches).
(k) Entrance Conduits - Provide a minimum of eight (8), 150mm (6
inches) conduits from the telephone company manhole to the TELCO
Equipment Room. These conduits shall be designated: Two (2) telephone;
one (1) for special communications and two (2) spares. Unless otherwise
specified, the Telephone Equipment Room will be the official telephone
company DEMARC location for the Facility.
(1) Coordinate all conduit entrance locations with the Facility Staff
and obtain technical approval from TCD-194D in writing.
(2) Vertical Risers (A/E Note: Sizes, location and destination shall be
shown on drawings):
(3) Primary vertical risers between telecommunications closets on
adjacent floors shall be sized to meet the requirements of the
building. A minimum of seven (7) 150 mm (6 inches) conduit sleeves
shall be provided. These conduits shall be designated: Two (2)
telephone; two (2) for data; one (1) for fire alarm/security/emergency
otherwise specified, the Telephone Equipment Room will be the official
telephone company DEMARC location for the Facility. Contact TCD-194D
for technical approval on the type and quantity of these conduit
sleeves.
(4) Conduits entering telecommunications closets shall terminate not
less than 150mm (6 inches) above the floor and start 100mm (4 inches)
below the ceiling and installed to one side of the backboard. Each
conduit shall be provided with end caps to prevent cable damage and
sealed to prevent fire migration between closets.
(5) Conduits and/or sleeves shall be aligned for a clear vertical pull
of cable and each provided with suitable wire/cable securing anchors.
