3.4.25 PSYCHIATRIC AREAS
Provide safety type receptacles in Psychiatric Patient Bedrooms.
Provide beveled, metal-edged cover plates with tamperproof screws for
the receptacles and switches.
3.4.26 STAIRWELLS
Provide a receptacle at every other floor landing for vacuum cleaning.
3.4.27 INTERSTITIAL SPACES
Provide receptacles at every other column. Where catwalks are installed
because of the inability to install a walk-on platform, provide
receptacles along the catwalks at spacing not to exceed 12 m (40 ft.).
In addition, provide receptacles at each entrance to the interstitial
space.
3.4.28 TV POWER RECEPTACLES
Provide a receptacle in conjunction with each CCTV camera, CCTV monitor
and TV receiver.
3.4.29 ELECTRICAL CLOSETS
Provide a receptacle with its centerline located 1000 mm (40 inches)
above the finished floor adjacent to the room door.
3.4.30 TELECOMMUNICATIONS CLOSETS
Refer to Article 8.7.
3.4.31 MOTORIZED TREADMILL POWER REQUIREMENTS
Provide an in-line circuit interrupter at the treadmill unit which
requires manual resetting to restore power in the event of a power
interruption.
3.4.32 COMPUTER TERMINALS IN OPERATING ROOMS
Provide power and data outlets, when required, for computer terminals
in Operating Rooms. Provide a receptacle and circuit to the nearest
normal power panel. Locate data outlet within a two gang outlet box
with a partition between the power and signal devices. Locate these
devices as far away from the patient as possible, preferably in a far
corner of the room. Coordinate exact locations with the VAMC.
3.4.33 OXYGEN STORAGE PAD CONTROL PANEL
Provide a separate 120 V (volt) circuit in 20 mm (3/4 inch) direct
burial conduit from the nearest critical panelboard to the control
panel.
