VA REGIONAL OFFICE TECHNICAL CRITERIA
Master Television System
Provide and install a complete VHF and UHF master television system to receive, amplify and
distribute cable service to each antenna outlet. Complete with all head-end cabinet, amplifiers,
splitters, lighting arrestor and ground, coaxial cable, screw-on type RF outlets and other devices
required for a complete working system. Signal shall be transmitted in coaxial cable and terminate
at 10 locations with threaded coaxial TV plug and plate. VA shall approve location during design.
VSAT Satellite Downlink System
VA's contractor will conduct a site survey and provide/install an 18 inch VSAT satellite dish
equipped with a Low Noise Blocker (LNB) antenna, an Integrated Receiver/Decoder (IRD) and an
appropriate roof mount. The dish should be installed pointing southwest (Galaxy 10 Satellite), in a
location approved by VA. The contractor will also run cable from the VSAT to one or more locations
within the facility.
