4.7.2 CRITICAL BRANCH
This system shall supply power to the selected functions listed in NFPA
70 and 99:

NOTE: Items (i) and (j) shall be arranged for delayed-automatic or
manual connection to the alternate power source.
(i) Heating Equipment for General Patient Rooms: Heating of general
patient rooms during disruption of the normal service may not be
required under certain conditions. See NFPA 99 for additional
information.
(j) Elevator Service: In instances where interruptions of power would
result in elevators stopping between floors, throw over facilities
shall be provided to allow temporary operation at any elevator for the
release of passengers.
