Provide one for each Intensive Care Nursing Unit type.
3. Nurse Sub-Station (NSTA3) ...................................................... 80 NSF (7.4 NSM)
Provide one per each Nurse Sub-Station authorized for each Intensive Care Nursing
Unit type, and if in concept of operations.
If in Concept of Operations this space may be divided equally among pairs of ICU
rooms as alcoves for computer/observation stations immediately outside the ICU
room.
4. Conference / Report Room (CRA01).................................... 200 NSF (18.6 NSM)
Minimum NSF. Provide one for each Intensive Care Nursing Unit type. Provide an
additional 30 NSF per each increment of five patient beds projected for the Intensive
Care Nursing Unit type greater than fifteen.
5. Nurse Workroom (WRCH1)....................................................... 80 NSF (7.5 NSM)
Provide one for each Intensive Care Nursing Unit type.
6. Charting / Dictation Area (WRCH1)........................................ 60 NSF (5.6 NSM)
Provide one for each Intensive Care Nursing Unit type.
7. Office, Head Nurse (OFA01 / OFA02)................................... 120 NSF (11.2 NSM)
Provide one per Head Nurse FTE position authorized for each Intensive Care
Nursing Unit type. (OFA01 for standard furniture or OFA02 for systems furniture)
Locate the Head Nurse Office in close proximity to the Nurse Station.
8. Office, Nurse Supervisor (OFA01 / OFA02)......................... 120 NSF (11.2 NSM)
Provide one per Nurse Supervisor FTE position authorized for each Intensive Care
Nursing Unit type. (OFA01 for standard furniture or OFA02 for systems furniture)
9. Office, Ward Clerk (OFA01 / OFA02)........................................ 80 NSF (7.5 NSM)
Provide one per Ward Clerk FTE position authorized for each Intensive Care Nursing
Unit type. (OFA01 for standard furniture or OFA02 for systems furniture)
Locate the Ward Clerk Office in a separate room and adjacent and interconnected
with the Nurse Station for performance of Medical Administration duties.
10. Office, Concurrent Coding Clerk (OFA03) .............................. 80 NSF (7.5 NSM)
Provide one per Concurrent Coding Clerk FTE position authorized for each Intensive
Care Nursing Unit type.
11. Office, Physician /
