These rooms may be allocated to specific Patient Care Units on a per project basis,
as determined by Concept of Operations.
3. Patient Room, Intensive Care Isolation,
Positive Pressure (BRII2) ..................................................... 230 NSF (21.4 NSM)
Provide one per Positive Pressure Intensive Care Isolation Patient Room authorized
for each Intensive Care Nursing Unit type.
These rooms may be allocated to specific Patient Care Units on a per project basis,

4. Isolation Anteroom (BRAR1) ................................................. 53 NSF (4.9 NSM)
Provide one per each Isolation, Negative or Positive, Patient Room.
5. Bathroom, Patient with shower (TLTS2) ................................ 68 NSF (6.3 NSM)
Provide one per each Intensive Care Nursing Unit.
C. Patient Care Unit: Support Areas
1. Nourishment Station (NCWD1) ................................................ 80 NSF (7.4 NSM)
Provide one for each Intensive Care Nursing Unit type.
2. Utility Room, Clean (UCCL1) .................................................. 100 NSF (9.3 NSM)
Provide one for each Intensive Care Nursing Unit type.
This room provides storage for sterile and non-sterile medical supplies used in the
delivery of patient care.
3. Utility Room, Soiled (USCL1) .................................................. 80 NSF (7.4 NSM)
Provide one for each Intensive Care Nursing Unit type.
Equipment, instruments and utensils are cleaned in this room, as well as disposal of
waste material. This room also provides a temporary holding area for material to be
dispatched to SPD when SPD terminals are not available on the patient care floor.
4. Linen Room, Clean (UCCL1) .................................................... 60 NSF (5.6 NSM)
Provide one for each Intensive Care Nursing Unit type.
This room is used for storage of clean linen on carts.
5. Materials Handling Terminal, Clean (MMRP1) .................... 110 NSF (10.2 NSM)
Provide one for each Intensive Care Nursing Unit type and if in Concept of
Operations.
Clean materials lift.
6. Materials Handling Terminal, Soiled (UTLC1) .................... 110 NSF (10.2 NSM)
Provide one for each Intensive Care Nursing Unit type and if in Concept of
Operations.
Soiled materials lift.
