5.3 Site-Specific Ground-Response Report
The site-specific ground-response report shall present a detailed characterization
of earthquake ground motions for the site. The characteristics of the expected
strong ground motion to be used in design shall be determined by site evaluation
studies based on geological and seismological characteristics of the site, including
data given in the engineering geologic hazards report. The estimates should be
derived by accepted methods of seismological practice, and fully documented in
the ground response report. The level of ground motions to be developed shall be
determined using the procedures in Chapter 21 of ASCE 7.
