(b) Motors rated 373 W (1/2 HP) and higher shall be 3-phase. Design and
specifications shall be based upon 200 V (volt) motors for 208 V (volt)
systems and 460 V (volt) motors for 480 V (volt) systems.
(c) Provide detailed schedules for switchgear, switchboards,
panelboards and motor control centers on the drawings. At a minimum,
the schedules shall indicate equipment ratings, enclosure type, load
descriptions, load ratings, interrupting ratings, breaker/starter
sizes, and connected and demand loads by phase. Also, show front
elevation views of switchgear, switchboards and motor control centers.
(d) Locate equipment to facilitate removal in the event of equipment
failure.
(e) Provide an equipment grounding conductor with each circuit, except
ceiling-mounted lights shall be grounded to the conduit system.
(f) Provide 1/4-inch scale details of special equipment spaces, such as
Laboratories, Radiology, Dietetic Areas, Surgical Rooms, and Electrical
Rooms.
(g) At a minimum, the Construction Documents shall contain diagrams of
the following systems:
(1) Essential Electrical System Distribution (Riser Diagram)
(2) Fire Alarm System (Riser Diagram)
(3) Ground Sensing System for Secondary Breakers (480 volt Systems
only)
(4) Primary Service and System Distribution (One-line Diagram)
(5) Secondary System Distribution (Riser Diagram)
(6) Telephone, Nurse Call, MATV and Other Signal Systems (Riser
Diagrams)
(h) Indicate the following information on Power Riser Diagrams or in
applicable schedules:
(1) Feeder Sizes (Cable and Raceway Sizes)
(2) Ground Sensing System for Secondary Breakers (if applicable)
(4) Long-time, Short-time, Instantaneous and Ground-trip Values
(5) Motor Sizes and Other Major Loads
