Provide one per Acute Care Patient Bed projected for each MS&N Patient Care Unit
type.
6. Bathroom, Patient Enclosed Shower(TLTS2) ......................... NSF 68 (6.3NSM)
Provide one per each One-Bed Patient Room selected for closed shower
Standard enclosed shower cubicle arrangement allowing access on one side of
shower.
7. Bathroom, Patient Open Shower(TLTS2) ............................. 60 NSF (5.56 NSM)
Provide one per each One-Bed Patient Room selected for open access shower.
Open Shower provides shower, toilet and sink in one open room for maximum
access for patient assist.
8. Exam / Treatment Room (EXRG3)........................................ 120 NSF (11.2 NSM)
Provide one for each MS&N Patient Care Unit type and if in Concept of Operations.
9. Dayroom, Recreation (DAYR1)............................................. 150 NSF (14.0 NSM)
Minimum NSF. Provide one for each MS&N Patient Care Unit type and if in Concept
of Operations. Provide an additional 35 NSF per each increment of five patient beds
projected for the patient care unit type, greater than twenty.
C. Patient Care Unit: Support Areas
1. Nourishment Station (NCWD1) ................................................ 80 NSF (7.4 NSM)
Provide one for each MS&N Patient Care Unit type.
2. Utility Room, Clean (UCCL1) .................................................. 100 NSF (9.3 NSM)
Provide one for each MS&N Patient Care Unit type.
This room provides storage for sterile and non-sterile medical supplies used in the
delivery of patient care.
3. Utility Room, Soiled (USCL1) ................................................... 80 NSF (7.4 NSM)
Provide one for each MS&N Patient Care Unit type.
Equipment, instruments and utensils are cleaned in this room, as well as disposal of
waste material. This room also provides a temporary holding area for material to be
dispatched to SPD when SPD terminals are not available on the patient care floor.
4. Linen Room, Clean (UCCL1) .................................................... 60 NSF (5.6 NSM)
Provide one for each MS&N Patient Care Unit type.
This room is used for storage of clean linen on carts.
5. Materials Handling Terminal, Clean (MMRP1) .................... 110 NSF (10.3 NSM)
Provide one for each MS&N Patient Care Unit type and if in Concept of Operations.
Clean materials lift.
