simplex air compressor to serve equipment and a minimum of one outlet on each wall in shop areas.

6.6.16.1 WATER SOFTENING SYSTEM:
6.6.16.1.1 Softeners
Design vertical, pressure type, sodium cycle water softeners to comply with the following and VA Master
Construction Specification 15455. Regeneration shall occur no more than once per day. Provide bypass.
Provide softening equipment for entire outpatient clinic when total hardness exceeds 170 mg/L (ppm) as
CaCO3. Blend equipment effluent to a hardness of approximately 50 mg/L.
