Attachment No. 2 CENTRAL CHILLED WATER PLANT

Notes:
1.
The above arrangement shall be used for chilled water systems that will
require two chillers to meet the cooling load. The chillers shall be air
or water cooled.
2.
Primary chilled water pumps P-1 and P-2 shall be sized for the PD of the
chiller and related piping.
3.
Secondary chilled water pumps P-3 and P-4 shall equal (50% each) the
variable flow rate.
4.
Variable flow controller (VFC), to be used for 7.5 HP and larger pumps,
shall measure and indicate flow (gpm) and shall provide a signal to
start/stop primary pumps according to predetermined set-point ranges
(gpm).

Other pumping systems may be considered but must be submitted to VA for
prior approval.
