2.13.3.7 OTHER LOCATIONS NOT REQUIRING FIRE DAMPERS:
(a) Outdoor air intake where there is no combustible material within 30 mm
(100 feet). (Roofing is not considered combustible). Provide intakes with
corrosion resistant screens. Screen mesh shall be no larger than one-half
inch mesh (NFPA 90A).
(b) Exhaust ducts through exterior walls.
(c) Duct penetrations of roof.
(d) Duct penetrations of one-hour partitions, except in a one-hour vertical
shaft enclosure, according to NFPA-90A.
