C. TERMINAL COOLING/HEATING SYSTEMS: When the fan coil units or radiant
panels are used, a central ventilation unit shall supply conditioned
air to the spaces. With this arrangement, the source of outdoor air
being external to the principal cooling and heating equipment, it is
possible to ensure predetermined and exact amount of outdoor air
distribution to all spaces.
D. MINIMUM OUTSIDE AIR REQUIREMENTS: While computing the minimum outside
air, the following criteria shall apply:
1. For private offices use .55 m3/min. (20 CFM) per person or 1 air
change per hour or a minimum of 1.5 m3/min. (50 CFM) per outlet.
2. For conference rooms, lounges, and offices use .45 mL3/min. (15
CFM) per person or a min. of 1.5 m3/min. (50 CFM) per outlet.
3. For all air systems, minimum outside air shall be 15% of the
supply air volume.
recommendations for minimum outside air shall be an additional
consideration.
2.5 EXHAUST AIR REQUIREMENTS
The following areas shall be fully exhausted outdoors at the rates
specified.

Notes:
1.
The ducted supply air shall not be used to ventilate the
janitor closets and private toilets with one fixture. Instead,
room air from the occupied spaces and corridors, directly
connected to the janitor closets and private toilets, shall be
used as make up air for exhaust. The make up air shall be
brought in by door undercuts and louvers. The capacity of the
undercuts shall be limited to 4 m3/min. (150 CFM.)
2.
The ducted supply air
shall be used to ventilate the public
toilets equipped with
multiple fixtures. The public toilets
shall be treated as a
dedicated temperature control zone. To
maintain 15% negative
pressure in public toilets, room air
