INDOOR AIR QUALITY
TOPIC: UPDATE ON AIR DUCT CLEANING
ISSUE:
National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) standards, guidelines and
publications.
BACKGROUND:
NADCA has recently released the following two new documents for air duct
cleaning. These documents are in addition to the documents reported in our
previous design alert number 79 dated December 11, 1997.
1. General specification for the Cleaning of Commercial HVAC Systems
2. Standard 05-1997, References for the Installation of Service Openings in HVAC
Systems.
