Minimum NSF. Provide one if Billing Clerk FTE position is authorized. Provide an
additional 50 NSF per Billing Clerk position authorized greater than two.
This clerk is responsible for preparing bills for private insurance companies for
medical care provided to non-service connected disabled veterans, as well as for
billing non-service connected veterans who agree to a co-payment for medical care.
7. MAS: Office, Community
Nursing Home Clerk (OFA01) ............................................. 120 NSF (11.2 NSM)
Minimum NSF. Provide one if Community Nursing Home Clerk FTE position is
authorized. Provide an additional 50 NSF per Community Nursing Clerk FTE
position authorized greater than two.
This clerk is responsible for the administrative processing and budget control of
patients referred to community nursing homes at the Department of Veterans Affairs
(VA) expense.
8. MAS: Office, Details Clerk (OFA01) .................................... 120 NSF (11.2 NSM)
Provide one if Details Clerk FTE position is authorized.
This clerk is primarily responsible for maintaining the seriously ill roster; assisting
relatives and significant others in making funeral arrangements; completing the
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other legal documents such as death
certificates; and records authorizations for surgical and autopsy consent.
9. MAS: Grieving Room (OFA01) ............................................ 120 NSF (11.2 NSM)
Provide one if in Concept of Operations.
Locate adjacent to Details Clerk office. This area provides a suitable setting for
meeting with grieving family members. Space accommodates 2-4 family members
meeting with Clerk.
10. Toilet, Grieving Room (TLTU1) ............................................... 50 NSF (4.7 NSM)
Provide one per MAS: Grieving Room.
11. MAS: Office, Health Benefits Advisor
(Patient Services Assistant) (OFA01) ................................. 120 NSF (11.2 NSM)
Minimum NSF. Provide an additional 50 NSF per Health Benefits Advisor FTE
position authorized greater than two.
12. MAS: Office, Travel Clerk (OFA01) ..................................... 120 NSF (11.2 NSM)
Minimum NSF. Provide an additional 80 NSF per Travel Clerk FTE position
authorized greater than two.
13. MAS: Office, Agent Cashier (CASH1) ................................. 150 NSF (14.0 NSM)
Minimum NSF. Provide an additional 50 NSF per Agent Cashier FTE position
authorized greater than one.
This office provides approved cash transactions. It should be adjacent to the MAS:
Travel Clerk Office.
