Minimum NSF. Provide one per division authorized. Provide an additional 80
NSF per Agent Cashier FTE position authorized greater than one.
Provide an additional 40 NSF for an alcove if agent cashier's office is accessed by
patients from a public corridor.
This office / position provides space for approved cash transactions. It should be
adjacent to the travel clerks' office.
12. Toilet, Staff (XXXX) ..................................................................50 NSF (4.7 NSM)
Provide one for up to 15 FTE. Provide two if over 15 FTE.
C. Support Areas
1. Workroom (XXXX) ................................................................ 190 NSF (17.7 NSM)
Minimum NSF. Provide an additional 12 NSF per Clerical / Technical FTE position
authorized.
This area accommodates active file storage, office machines, work tables etc.

PLANNING AND DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
A.
Departmental net-to-gross factor (DNTG) for Fiscal Service is 1.30. This number
when multiplied by the programmed net square foot (NSF) area determines the
departmental gross square feet.
